Stop the Run-Off. End the Dry-Back.
FUTURE SOIL® SAND LEVEL is an Australian-engineered cationic restructuring and levelling agent designed to restore order to unstable, hydrophobic, or clay-contaminated sands.
Where polymers and wetting agents only chase symptoms, SAND LEVEL tackles the cause, dispersed clays and electrically unbalanced sand profiles that cause dry-back, sealing, and erosion.
From golf fairways to desert revegetation, SAND LEVEL delivers what wetting agents never could, genuine long term soil engineering in a bottle.
FUTURE SOIL® SAND LEVEL is a cationic moisture leveller engineered to work on the surface of each grain. Its positive charge adsorbs onto sand particles and dispersed clays, forming a thin, silica-like microfilm that increases electrostatic friction between grains.
On coarse sands too large to truly bind, this film grips each particle, slowing the downward rush of water and holding it within the root zone. At the same time, the cationic sites attract and flocculate fine clays and dispersive materials, pulling them out of suspension and locking them into the sand matrix.
The result is a stable, uniform surface that resists “quicksand” collapse, slumping, or scouring under irrigation and traffic. It drains evenly—but not too fast—retaining water, calcium, and nutrients where roots can use them. The profile behaves less like loose, leaching sand and more like engineered soil built to maintain moisture and structure through cycles of wetting, drying, and heat.
How to Apply
- Apply through boom, pivot, fertigation, hydroseeder, or watering system.
- Treat a moist surface, then allow to dry fully to activate bonding.
- Functions as a cationic soil adjuvant, not a penetrant — it restructures sand and binds particles electrostatically.
- Flocculates dispersed clays and fines, fixing “quicksand” or collapsible profiles.
- Once dry, the change is semi-permanent; reapply only after tillage, harvest, or sand/clay movement.
- Compatible with most fertilisers, biostimulants, humates, kelps, and foliars — always jar-test first.
- Use with FUTURE SOIL® LIQUID BIOCHAR for added carbon and lasting structure.
Rates & Frequency
- Extreme hydrophobic / saline sand – 1 L/m² (10 000 L/ha) → Heavy reset; maintain 2 mL/m² every 12 weeks.
- Baseline recharge (sandy loam / coir) – 20 mL/m² (200 L/ha) → Every 12 weeks until water movement stabilises.
- Dry spots / water-repellent zones – 50 mL/m² (500 L/ha) → Every 4 weeks until uniform.
- Turf & sports surfaces – 5 mL/m² (50 L/ha) → Every 4 weeks; drench 100 mL/m² at renovation.
- Vineyards & orchards – 2 mL/m² (20 L/ha) → Every 4 weeks in-season; pre + post passes.
- Broadacre & pasture – 20 mL/m² (20 L/ha) → Every 12 weeks until water movement stabilises.
- Landscapes & public areas – 5 mL/m² (50 L/ha) → Every 4 weeks or after renovation until water movement stabilises
- Revegetation / mine-site rehab – 100 mL/m² (1 000 L/ha) → Every 4 weeks until cover established.
- Sodic clay sublayer (ground plane) – 1 L/m² (10 000 L/ha) → One-off before construction; maintain sand 20 mL/m² seasonally until water movement stabilises.
Performance Expectations
- Uniform moisture within 1–2 irrigation cycles.
- Run-off and leaching reduced within 30 days.
- Flocculated clays stay stable, preventing “quicksand” collapse.
- Long-lasting structure; reapply only when soil is disturbed or replenished.
